Most Popular Mobile Sports Tracker: ESPN Scorecenter [Hive Five Followup]

If you're not parked in front of the television and watching the action, keeping up on the latest scores and biggest plays of the big game or your favorite teams is still easy, thanks to a variety of mobile apps designed to alert you to big plays, help you look up scores, and track your favorite teams. Last week we asked you which app you used to keep up with your favorite sports when you can't watch them. Then we took a look at the top five. Now we're back to crown the winner.

Even though it wasn't a favorite in the comments, ESPN Scorecenter took the top spot with just over 36% of the votes cast. In second place was Yahoo! Sportacular with 29%, followed by ScoreMobile in third with just over 20%. Back in fourth place with just under 8% of the vote was Twitter, as many of you said you just follow your favorite teams, leagues, and players there to stay up to speed, and bringing up the rear was SportsTap with close to 7%.

Most Popular Method to Use a Regular Phone for Internet Calls: Skype [Hive Five Followup]

Switching from a traditional landline to VoIP doesn't require rewiring your home or getting all new phones. Plenty of services allow you to plug a jack in the wall or an adapter into your router or cable modem and use your existing home phones as normal. Last week we asked you which service you preferred when you wanted to quit your phone company. You responded, and we took a look at the top five. Now we're back to highlight the winner.

Whether it's because you actually Skype's FREETALK adapters with your home phones or because it just has the most name recognition, Skype took the top spot with just over 28% of the votes cast. Hot on its heels with 21% of the vote was Ooma, and in third place is NetTalk, with close to 20% of the vote. Just behind NetTalk with 18% of the vote was Obihai, a favorite among commenters, and in last place came Vonage with over 12% of the votes cast—likely because of all of the options, it's the most like the phone companies you may be trying to get away from.
