What's in Your Bag: Minimalist Edition [Ask The Readers]

Last year we asked you to share the contents of your backpack so we could all learn how we get by day-to-day. This time around we're focusing on how you can get by with very little. What are the essential items in your bag when you want to keep your bag lightweight and practical and still get things done?

To get the ball rolling I'm going to open up my bag and share the contents. Just click through the gallery images up top to see each item. I've tried to keep it to just the bare essentials and a few commonly useful items so I'm not caught unprepared.

Ten items or fewer is a good principle to live by. We'll share the results at the end of the week. Minimalist Calendaring App Agenda Updates, Adds Quick Event Editing and New iPad Version [Updates]

iOS: Agenda is a minimalist, elegant calendaring application that we've highlighted before. The developer recently updated the application to include an iPad version, and has improved the iPhone version to make editing calendar appointments easier.

The app retains its clean layout, but the iPhone version now allows you to edit an event by tapping it in event view, and on the iPad there's now a persistent "Edit" button available across multiple parts of the application. The new iPad version looks and operates like its iPhone cousin, and offers a single-glance view of all of your appointments and events for the upcoming day, week, or month, if you choose. The app also makes it easy to switch views with a single tap.

Agenda is available in the iTunes App Store now for $0.99, and because it's universal, you can buy it once and use it on the iPhone and the iPad.
