What's in Your Bag: Minimalist Edition [Ask The Readers]

By Adam Dachis Oct 18, 2011 12:00 PM 65,183 41

Last year we asked you to share the contents of your backpack so we could all learn how we get by day-to-day. This time around we're focusing on how you can get by with very little. What are the essential items in your bag when you want to keep your bag lightweight and practical and still get things done?

To get the ball rolling I'm going to open up my bag and share the contents. Just click through the gallery images up top to see each item. I've tried to keep it to just the bare essentials and a few commonly useful items so I'm not caught unprepared.

If you've got a great, well-packed, minimalist bag then be sure to share it in the comments (or email us). Be sure to include at least one photo and what you keep inside. Remember, keep it minimal! Ten items or fewer is a good principle to live by. We'll share the results at the end of the week. You can follow Adam Dachis, the author of this post, on Twitter, Google+, and Facebook.  Twitter's the best way to contact him, too.
